2010 Top Massage Therapy Schools Blog Award

Massage Therapy is one of the oldest healing arts, with over 150 different types of massage being practiced around the world. A main reason for the continued use of massage throughout history are the health benefits that a single or continued use of massage can bring. It has been shown to treat pain, relieve anxiety, and even shown to treat depression. While massage by itself shouldn’t take the place of modern medicine, it should instead be used in conjunction with medicine and work together to provide relief to the patient.

Massage Therapy is a holistic approach to healing by manipulating the body based on pressures and movement of muscle. As a therapist, you have to be able to understand fully how the human body works in order to provide the best massage to your clients. In addition, it is also beneficial to understand what the client can do outside of their massage session, and be able to suggest different activities or diet regimens. So as part of our commitment to providing the best resources, we’ve found the best blogs available to educate you. Learn which types of foods are most beneficial to the body, recommend an appropriate amount of time dedicated to physical exercise, suggest other types of activities including yoga to further improve the state of their body. And while you’re reading these blogs for your clientele, learn from them as well and apply what they are teaching in your life.

So without further adieu, please join me in congratulating the winners of the 2010 Top Blog Award presented by Massage Therapy Schools!
